GSF UNGC COP 2018

On June 5th, the year 2002, Global Synergetic Foundation joined the UN Global Compact, and in doing so expressed its steadfast commitment to the Ten Principles that the UN Global Compact puts forth.Compliance with these principles is, without a doubt, one of the cornerstones for the democratic and cohesive existence of both companies and society as a whole.Global Synergetic continues to be a very active and dedicated member of the UN Global Compact. By doing so, business, as the primary agent driving globalization, can help ensure that markets, commerce, technology, and finance advance in ways that benefit economies and societies everywhere and contribute to a more sustainable and inclusive global economy. The UN Global Compact is not a regulatory instrument, but rather a voluntary initiative that relies on public accountability, transparency, nd disclosure to complement regulation and to provide a space for innovation.
Launched in July 2000, the UN Global Compact is a both a policy platform and a practical framework for companies that are committed to sustainability and responsible business practices. As a leadership initiative endorsed by chief executives, I t seeks to align business operations and strategies everywhere with ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption.Through a wide spectrum of specialized workstreams, management tools, resources, and topical programs, the UN Global Compact aims to advance two complementary objectives:• Mainstream the ten principles in business activities around the world • Catalyze actions in support of broader UN goals, including the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs)
Our Commitment
The term corporate sustainability is of relatively recent vintage. Not so the philosophy of social responsibility that underlines the GSF Group's way of conducting its businesses. The multitude of social development and environment initiatives GSF Group has nurtured from its earliest days flows from a wellspring of voluntary, as opposed to obligatory, commitment. GSF Group Council for Community InitiativesThe GSF Group's Council for Community Initiatives (GSF Group CCI) is a unique initiative that lends structure to the GSF Group's approach to sustainable development while driving its community engagement and improvement programs.
Climate changeThe GSF Group is facing up to the challenge of climate change and making it integral to its processes. Coordinating and directing the climate change efforts of the group's companies.
Affirmative actionThe GSF Affirmative Action commits GSF Group companies to exercising positive discrimination in employing personnel from historically disadvantaged communities and in engaging them as business partners, without sacrificing merit or quality.
